DECEMBER

Almost here

NOVEMBER - Thanksgiving in San Francisco

It is now time for the kitchen remodel to bear some fruit.  Jo's Brother, wife Kate, and nephew Patrick join us for a wonderful get together with turkey and crab!

OCTOBER - Final Inspections by Mom Peter Lee and Ryan have suffered for a while with microwave and takeout as the home goes through major renovation.  All new Kitchen and rewiring everything.  I guess it was good to have the bathroom done a while ago when John was nimbler. See LINK

SEPTEMBER - PT continues

Beth becomes almost a Family member as Jo tries to regain balance and stability.  Once a week, but it is nearby.  John likes to call it Mental Therapy because a lot of it is just overcoming the fear of falling. She always does better after a session.

AUGUST - Thank goodness for mobility

Jo is off to see Jill who has been her hairdresser for over 30 years.  John has to wait as he is diving Miss Daisy now.  But a download from Netflix and some ear buds solves that issue.

JULY - The tough go shopping

Lillian and Samantha decide that Grandma needs some shopping therapy and volunteer to have her take them 'back to school' shopping.  A grand time was had by all including the VISA card who came along for the ride.

JUNE - Graduation

Off to Pacific for the girl's graduation from 8th grade.   Grandparents get to spoil them rotten with new iPhone 14's with unlimited data!

Thank goodness for Cath providing driving duty.

MAY - Newest Family Member

We are off to Woodside to celebrate Jo's brother's 70th birthday.  There is a BIG party that afternoon, but we have a family lunch where we meet the newest member of the family - Joan Daly Small

APRIL - Turning 80

Pretty busy with Jo's recovery, so the mark of 80 years is celebrated with the family and no big party.  But that may be the best way ever!

MARCH

The family gets together to celebrate Jo-Ann's 79th and Peter's 52nd Birthday. Even LouLou is happy to be involved.  Moments like this are precious!

FEBRUARY - Coming home

After another 4 weeks in a Skill Nursing Facility, she has the strength and stamina to go home.  Here she still gets care for bedsores and PT for strength recovery.

JANUARY - Hospital

Jo-Ann is in the local hospital for 3 weeks due to a bad bout of pneumonia and then some complications due to the long stay there.  Care was a lot less than one would expect for $7,000 a day.  But she does get well enough to leave.  That is with some help from the grandchildren who come to bolster her spirits.  But on the discharge date tests positive for Covid!  The trials of Job.
