CHRISTMAS

  To be lived

DECEMBER - Christmas Trees

Just a great picture of the family out getting a fresh cut tree (thanks to Lillian).  We have graduated to a artificial tree that Zoila helps us put up and take down each year.

NOVEMBER - Thanksgiving

Jo is under the weather for Thanksgiving and the Daly's are out of town.  So John trecks alone to San Francisco to be with Family for a great Turkey dinner, thanks to Ryan and Peter.

OCTOBER - Halloween

No longer animals or goblins or witches.  Just highway traffic control.  It's tough to be 13 and too old for neighborhood trick or treat, yet not old enough for parties.

SEPTEMBER - Major Milestone

We thought a big milestone was not having car payments. But here John sells his plug in electric for cash.  Just no need for 2 cars now.  We should have done it at the beginning of the Pandemic when life slowed down so much.

AUGUST - Avis Daly

April 17, 1946 – August 21, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Avis Daly. Avis passed away, leaving her family and friends with sad hearts and wonderful memories.  She and Jo were "Irish Twins" being only 13 months apart in age.

JULY- 13th Birthday

Birthdays have moved on since pony rides and bouncy houses. Now 4 of your best friends ever have a weekend rental in Santa Rosa.  Home theater is a real drawing point.

JUNE - Lemon Bars

We have a just because visit from the grandchildren, Peter and Ryan.  Here Jo-Ann shares her recipe for lemon bars.  The electric juicer is a must-have item.

MAY - Soccer Game

While Jo is in Mexico, John gets invited to a soccer game and dinner in San Francisco.  Nothing better than a stop at 7-11 for a multi flavor slurpie,

MAY

Jo-Ann travels to Puerto Vallarta to spend a week celebrating Krystol's graduation with a Master's Degree from Cedar Crest College.  Joining them is their house mate

FEBRUARY - Storms

We do have what seem to be a series of endless storms.  We lose 4 trees with little real damage other than to our pocketbook.

JANUARY - Visitor from Bethlehem

Cath comes to visit and get away from the cold and snow.  We have a family dinner, but are missing Krystol.
