DECEMBER – Merry Christmas to all!
Early December finds John and Jo at the annual
Retiree Luncheon in Fairfield.Good to
see old friends and also meet some new Retirees who started work even after
John retired!
NOVEMBER – Woodside Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving in Woodside on again this year and
inside this time.John forgot to snap
the other side of the table.Laura and
Matt join us from LA as well as Patrick.Peter and Ryan make it down the City and our trip from Pleasant Hill
was as uneventful as we can remember.
OCTOBER -
Finally, our niece Liz Daly is getting married in
Oregon after many Pandemic delays. It is a trek either by flying or
driving. We rent a big Mini-Van and with plenty of space, it is a great
trip for the 6 of us.
SEPTEMBER – A fall!
No picture here, but Jo and John take some bad
tumbles which curtails much in the way of activities.John’s is less traumatic, so he picks up a
lot of the household chores and we get by OK.But this is a harbinger of looking out for how you turn and how you walk.
AUGUST - Volunteering
Medicare Counseling continues to be an
apostolate for John and he celebrates his 8th anniversary of volunteering. He
spends about 15 hours a week between community talks and ZOOM
Counseling. Excuse the
'stocky', but we avoid taking pics of actual clients. But he sees a
lot like those here who usually leave with BIG smiles.
JULY – Wildlife again
Hawks fledge in our year and love landing and
perching in one of our trees between hunting lessons.
APRIL – FamilyVisit
Visit family. Can't recall the occasion, but John
remembers to get a group portrait. For regular viewers, that is Ryan's
Mom next to John who is about to embark to the wilds of Burlington Vermont
to stary her retirement from book keeping.
JANUARY – Treatments continue
IV Immunoglobulin is a monthly 'chore' for John at this point. He has a great infusion clinic to himself
about 10 minutes from home with superlative service! You don’t want to know how much this stuff
costs! His Chronic Inflammatory Demylinating PolyradioNeuropathy is in
check, but just barely.
